19th Annual Conference Speaker: Grace Nguyen

Grace Nguyen is a graduate student in Sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research interests are interaction theory, sociology of work, race and ethnicity, and ethnographic methods. Her Ph.D. dissertation explores fine-dining restaurants as interactive settings for the cultivation and reproduction of elite cultural experience and identity. Grace is currently the Maitre D’ at a one-Michelin star restaurant in NYC. She holds a masters in Food Studies from New York University and a B.S. in Environmental Economics and Policy from UC Berkeley.
