Luigi Paganetto is Professor Emeritus at Tor Vergata University of Rome.
He is president of the Tor Vergata Economics Foundation and of the CEIS, the Centre for Economic and International Studies, Tor Vergata University of Rome, Italy. He was Dean of the Faculty of Economics and full professor of international economics at the Faculty of Economics, Tor Vergata University, Secretary General of the International Economic Association (IEA) from 2008 to 2011, and President of ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment), from 2007 to 2009.
He is also Vice President of CNR, and a member of the High Level Group for the Lisbon objectives (Kok Group for the Lisbon strategy).
He is also the author of several articles and books on macroeconomic theory, international economics and European industrial economics.
