Marc Schulz

Marc Schulz is the Associate Director of the Harvard Study of Adult Development, an 85-year old longitudinal study of human flourishing in two generations of individuals from over 700 families. He is also the Sue Kardas PhD 1971 Professor in Psychology at Bryn Mawr College. He directs the Data Science Program and previously chaired the psychology department and Clinical Developmental Psychology PhD program at Bryn Mawr. Dr. Schulz teaches courses on statistics, research methods and the quantification of happiness.  

Dr. Schulz received his BA from Amherst College in sociology and his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of California at Berkeley. He completed postdoctoral training in health and clinical psychology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Schulz is the co-author of the NY Times Bestseller, The Good Life: Lessons From the World’s Longest Scientific Study on Happiness (2023).
